Romanes is the language spoken by many of Europe’s 6 million Roma. Its roots are in Northern India, with others words added on the migrations through southern Asia and Europe. Many families will use Romanes as a home language and bilingual resources can be helpful, especially where children are new to schools.
Romaninet is a fantastic resource, where you can learn Romanies on line!
Why not also visit the Manchester University website, which has a range of excellent downloads related to the Romanes language.
